We are grateful to have Hang Nhan from our sister sangha, Kingston Sangha, as our guest dharma teacher for the day. Hang is one of the co-founders of saigon om, along with her partner, Sarah Martin. They travel between Canada, Vietnam and Australia teaching yoga and mindfulness to share their love in the art of mindful living. Plum Village practice centers and retreats have always been vegetarian, and since 2007, they have also been vegan. In October 2007, Thay wrote his famous “Blue Cliff Letter” where he explained why the community was turning vegan to nourish compassion and help save the planet. Please bring your own vegan lunch.

We will practice mindful eating together including noble silence. Also bring:

  • Cold water bottle (refills from tap water to be provided)
  • Mug or hot beverage container (tea will be provided)
  • Yoga mat, meditation cushion, bench or whatever you use for self-seating
  • Blanket for deep relaxation.
  • Self-care and protection (head nets, net hats, insect shield clothing etc.) as needed from mosquitoes and other biting insects, especially ticks.

Registration is required in advance. We still have a few spaces remaining, so you may register using the form below, but please also email secondheartsangha@gmail.com to ensure space is available and receive confirmation before attending.
