Interbeing Sangha and Kingston Sangha invite you to join us for an outdoor mindfulness retreat in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 on a historic woodland farm in rural Kingston. The day will include sitting and walking meditation, mindful movement, deep relaxation, dharma sharing, as well as mindful eating together.
Our Summer Day of Mindfulness program will be led by Sarah Martin & Hang Nhan of Kingston Sangha, co-founders of saigon om, who currently travel between Canada, Vietnam and Australia throughout the year teaching yoga and mindfulness to share their love in the art of mindful living.

As our location is a private residence (on rural Kingston farm), we kindly request that you register in advance by filling out the form below. Be sure to submit the form once complete, by clicking the “register” button at the bottom of the page. Participants are asked to bring a vegan dish to share for pot luck lunch. Car pool being organized from Unitarian Place at 206 Concession Street (farm location details with registration).
What to bring:
- Vegan dish (salad, casserole, pasta) for sharing at pot luck lunch
- Folding chair, yoga mat and/or blanket, for self-seating on the grass
- Water bottle (fresh cold water and herbal iced tea will be provided)
There is no cost to participate in the Day of Mindfulness, but a $20 donation to is suggested; the dana basket will be available on the day. Proceeds will be split between Interbeing Sangha and Kingston Sangha and go towards expanding our sanghas’ libraries of Thich Nhat Hanh and Buddhist books and media.
A car pool is being organized to help everyone get to the location, which is about 20 minutes from Unitarian Place. If you drive, please consider offering a ride for those who do not. Car poolers will gather at Unitarian Place, 206 Concession Street in Kingston, at 9:00 am on the 25th. You will be contacted in advance to connect riders with drivers. Once all have gathered at the pickup location, drivers will depart for Bonniespring Farm at 9:15 am.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 25th, 2018
9:30 am Guests arrive at Bonniespring North (2186 Middle Road) for Day of Mindfulness.
Parking in field at end of laneway. Signage to be posted on road, at start and end of laneway. Participants drop off vegan potluck items for lunch at the house.
10:00 am Day of Mindfulness begins. Welcome & orientation to farm & facilities followed by opening with candle lighting.
